The officer and the driver of a passenger vehicle suffered minor injuries in the incident.

A provincial police constable is facing one Highway Traffic Act charge after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 60 in the Township of Killaloe Hagarty and Richards.

Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to the crash involving a marked OPP cruiser and passenger vehicle on July 12, 2019 around 2:20 p.m.

Both vehicles were travelling westbound.

The officer in the cruiser and the 74-year-old driver of the passenger vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Constable Murray MacDougall, a two-year member with the OPP's Killaloe Detachment, has been charged with Unsafe Move, Lane or Shoulder contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The officer remains on active duty.

A member of the Killaloe OPP is facing charges stemming from a two-vehicle collision that occurred the afternoon of Friday July 12th on Highway 60 in Killaloe Hagarty Richards Township.

Police say the collision involved a passenger vehicle and a marked OPP cruiser.

Both vehicles were headed west on the highway, and the accident happened about 2:20 in the afternoon.

Minor injuries were sustained by both the officer and the 74 year-old driver of the passenger vehicle.

A two year member with the Killaloe Detachment has been charged with Unsafe Move involving Lane or Shoulder, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

He remains on active duty.
