Brant County OPP officer charged with assault

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – On November 28, 2015, members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated an alleged assault involving an off-duty member of the Brant County OPP.

As a result of investigation by members of the West Region OPP Crime Unit, police have charged Provincial Constable Anita COGGER with one count of Assault contrary to the Criminal Code.

She will appear in Brantford Court on January 7, 2016 to answer to the charge.

Cogger has been a member of the OPP for 18 years.

A veteran member of the Ontario Provincial Police has been charged with assault.

According to an OPP press release, the charge related to an off-duty incident that police began investigating on Saturday.

Const. Anita Cogger will appear in court next month to answer to the charge.

She has been with the organization for 18 years, and is currently assigned to the Brant County OPP.

A Brant County provincial police officer has been charged following investigation of an alleged assault when the constable was off duty, according to a media release issued by the OPP on Tuesday.

An investigation by members of the West Region OPP Crime Unit resulted in Const. Anita Cogger being charged with one count of assault. She will appear in a Brantford court on Jan. 7.
