Requirements for police to identify themselves?

Are there any particular statutes or regulations regarding police having to identify themseves?

Is there a requirement about badge number and name being displayed?

Is there a requirement for them to carry their warrant card on them?

If, for example, it is dark or their badge number is covered by a jacket, are they required to give their name and badge number if asked?

Police officers are required by law to identify themselves. It is a must do.
