Oxford OPP officer ticketed

Post by Michael Jack »

An Ontario Provincial Police officer was issued a traffic ticket after a fender bender in Tillsonburg earlier this month.

The collision occurred when police were called to an incident on London Street at about 5:50 a.m. on Sept. 15.

While there, one officer was attempting to respond to another incident when the police cruiser he was operating struck the rear of another police cruiser parked in front, said an Oxford OPP media release.

No one was injured.

There was some damage to both vehicles.

Probationary Constable Remeguisz Wasilewski was subsequently issued a Provincial Offences Notice for Start From Stopped Position – Not In Safety contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
