The OPP has arrested and charged one of its own with assault following a road rage incident earlier this month.
On March 17 at 3:40 p.m., the Temiskaming Shores OPP responded to an altercation between two motorists in Temiskaming Shores, says a release.
"As a result of the investigation, Bradley Burton, 54, from Temiskaming Shores, is charged with assault," says Acting Sergeant Michelle Simard.
Burton was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on April 22.
He is a sergeant with 25 years of service with the OPP assigned to the Temiskaming Shores Detachment.
Police say he was off duty at the time of the incident.

Off-duty OPP sergeant charged in road rage case in northern Ontario
An Ontario Provincial Police sergeant has been charged with assault in what police are calling a road rage incident March 17 in Temiskaming Shores.
Police responded around 3:40 p.m. to an altercation between two motorists in the community.
An investigation resulted in assault charges for the 54-year-old off-duty sergeant, police said in a news release Wednesday.
“The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on April 22,” police said.
“The accused is a sergeant with 25 years of service with the OPP assigned to the Temiskaming Shores detachment. He was off duty at the time of the incident.”
