Elgin County OPP officer charged following crash

An OPP officer has been charged following a crash on Monday.

Emergency services responded to the two-vehicle collision between a police cruiser and a passenger vehicle just before 9:30 a.m. on Sunset Road in Central Elgin.

Injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.

A constable with 23 years of service was charged with fail to yield to traffic on through highway.

OPP officer charged after crash near St. Thomas

A crash that caused non-life-threatening injuries has led to charges against an Elgin OPP officer.

Emergency crews were called to the two-vehicle crash on Sunset Drive in Central Elgin around 9:20 a.m. on Monday.

A police cruiser had collided with another vehicle.

It is unclear how many people were hurt, but police confirmed injuries were non-life threatening.

An investigation into the cause of the collision has resulted in a 23-year-old veteran constable of the Elgin OPP being charged with failure to yield to traffic on a through highway.
