Lambton County rookie OPP officer charged in Huron County cruiser crash

Police have charged an OPP officer following a two-vehicle crash last month north of London.

A Lambton OPP officer was driving his cruiser north on Main Street in Exeter on Sept. 29 when he made a U-turn and collided with a pickup truck travelling in the same direction, the OPP said.

The pickup driver had minor injuries, police said.

The officer, a one-year member of the OPP, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with making an unsafe turn.

Officer Charged Following Collision In Exeter

OPP say marked police vehicle was struck while performing U-turn along Main Street.

An incident in Exeter has led to a traffic charge against a member of the Ontario Provincial Police.

Reports say the officer was driving a fully marked OPP vehicle along northbound Main Street in late September, when attempting to perform a U-turn.

Officers say the cruiser was struck by a pickup truck travelling in the same direction.

Constable Scott Mosey, a one year member of the Huron OPP detachment, has been charged with Turn Not In Safety.

The driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries.

Rookie OPP officer charged after collision in Exeter

A rookie Huron OPP officer has been charged following a crash in Exeter last month.

Police say on Sept. 29, Cst. Scott Mosey was performing a U-turn on Main Street when he was hit by a pickup truck.

He was driving a fully-marked cruiser at the time.

The driver of the truck received minor injuries.

Mosey, a one-year member of the force has been charged with turn not in safety.
