Post by Michael Jack »

ROCKWOOD - Members from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision involving a civilian vehicle and OPP cruiser on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at 8 p.m. in the town of Rockwood, Ont.

Investigation revealed that the officer was following another vehicle when it slowed to make a turn.

The officer was unable to stop the police cruiser and struck the rear of the turning vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Provincial Constable Scott Anderson was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for following too closely.

He has served with the Wellington County OPP for two years.

Neither driver was injured as a result of the collision. Damage is reported as being minimal to the involved vehicles.
