SIU Concludes Investigation into Collision on Chippewas of the Thames First Nation

Mississauga, ON (13 July, 2025)Director Joseph Martino of the Special Investigations Unit found no reasonable grounds to believe an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer committed a criminal offence in connection with the serious injuries of a 52-year-old man. The man was seriously injured in a collision on March 15, 2025, after the driver of a vehicle fleeing police struck his pickup truck. The man suffered a fractured spine and concussion.
