‘I just cracked him once’: OPP officer cleared by SIU after Burk’s Falls ‘combative’ man has nose broken during arrest

Post by Michael Jack »

The province’s police oversight group has cleared an Ontario Provincial Police officer after a suspect’s nose was broken during an arrest in November.

The Special Investigation Unit determined the officer didn’t commit a criminal offence in connection with the injury suffered by the 54-year-old man in Burk’s Falls on Nov. 12, 2024.
