An off-duty OPP officer has been arrested for impaired driving.
According to the OPP, on Sunday, October 18th, 2020, at approximately 1am, they responded to a single-vehicle collision report at the intersection of County Road 22 and West Pike Creek in Lakeshore.
The investigation revealed the driver had been consuming alcohol. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired, and the Windsor Police Service conducted a breath test.
Steven Heredi, 40-years-old of Lakeshore, is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration, 80 milligrams or more.
The accused is a member of the Ontario Provincial Police and is currently in his 12th year of service. He is a member of the Lakeshore detachment.
He was issued a 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on November 4th, 2020.https://windsorite.ca/2020/10/off-duty- ... d-driving/
