On Thursday, April 16, at approximately 4:10 p.m., officers from the OPP East Algoma Detachment were called to a motor vehicle collision involving a police vehicle and a pickup truck on highway 108 near the city of Elliot Lake.

As a result of the police investigation, Provincial Constable Josh Dagg, an eight month member of the East Algoma OPP Detachment has been charged with "Turn not in safety", contrary to section 142(1) of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

There were no injuries although both vehicles received substantial damage.
