Four Hurt In Crash With OPP Cruiser

Four people were taken to hospital after a collision involving a police cruiser in Ingersoll.

Oxford OPP say the cruiser was heading west on Bell St. near Ingersoll St. just before 10am Saturday when it collided with a pick-up truck.

The police officer and the three people in the pick-up were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Bell St. was closed for approximately five hours following the crash.

So far, no charges have been laid. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Police cruiser involved in collision in Ingersoll; 4 hurt

The investigation continues into a weekend collision involving a pickup truck and an Ontario Provincial Police cruiser.

Oxford County OPP say the cruiser was travelling westbound on Bell Street, near Ingersoll Street, around 9:45 a.m. Saturday when it “came into contact with” the pickup truck.

The officer in the cruiser and the three people in the pickup truck were all taken to hospital.

All four had minor injuries, police said Monday.

Four people were injured after a crash between a police crui

INGERSOLL - Four people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a crash involving a pickup truck and police cruiser.

Police say the crash happened on Saturday morning on Bell Street. According to police the officer was heading westbound when it came into contact with the truck that was carrying three people.

Oxford County EMS and fire attended the scene. Bell Street was closed for about 5 hours for the investigation. The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

The investigation is continuing.
