Provincial police are investigating after three OPP cruisers were involved in two separate crashes on Wednesday.

The first crash happened just after midnight when OPP were responding to a family dispute in Kawartha Lakes.

Police say two OPP cruisers were involved in crash on Highway 35 at Pontypool Road. Four officers were in the vehicles but nobody was injured.

The road was closed for over six hours while Technical Traffic Collision Investigators attended the scene to investigate.

The second crash happened just after 2:00 p.m. in Minden Hills. Police and fire were called to the single vehicle crash involving a full marked OPP vehicle on County Road 21, just east of Highway 35.

The officer, who was the only person inside the cruiser, was taken to local hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Technical Traffic Collision Investigators also attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

No civilian vehicles or people were involved in either crash.

Police continue to investigate.
