Few details released about circumstances of crash

KAWARTHA LAKES -- Two people, including an OPP officer, have suffered injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Glenarm Road, just west of Killarney Bay Road, Monday (April 13) afternoon.

According to police, the accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. Firefighters and EMS responded to the crash, with the drivers of both vehicles taken to Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay with non-life-threatening injuries.

The road has been closed to traffic in both directions between Killarney Bay Road and Elm Tree Road.

OPP Cruiser Involved in a Serious Crash on Glenarm Road

City of Kawartha Lakes OPP remain on the scene of a serious collision involving a police cruiser.

The two vehicle crash happened at about 5:15 this afternoon on Glenarm Road West of Killarney Bay Road.

The OPP's Technical Collision Investigation unit has been called in to help out with the ongoing investigation.

Glenarm Road is closed between Killarney Bay Road and Elm Tree Road, and it is expected to remain closed for several hours.

The driver of each vehicle was rushed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Road reopens after OPP cruiser involved in crash

Glenarm Rd. W., west of Fenelon Falls, was closed between Killarney Bay Rd. and Elm Tree Rd. for about four hours for an investigation after a collision involving a City of Kawartha Lakes OPP cruiser.

The two-vehicle collision happened around 5:15 p.m. on Glenarm Rd., just west of Killarney Bay Rd., Const. Carrie Lanning of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP said.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The OPP’s technical collision investigation unit is on scene to assist with the investigation, police said.

The road reopened around 9:15 p.m. following the investigation.
