The other vehicle started to move forward, then stopped – after which the cruiser hit the back of the other vehicle, causing minor damage.

Const. Andrew Pelkie is charged with making an unsafe start from a stopped position.

The following day, a collision involving an OPP cruiser occurred in Paris.

OPP say a cruiser was southbound on Dumfries Street when it hit the back of a vehicle that had stopped in front of it.

Again, only minor damage was reported.

Const. Hector Jibbison is charged with following too closely.

Neither collision resulted in any injuries, police say.
