An OPP constable faces a charge of careless driving after crashing his cruiser in Norfolk County.

According to the OPP, Const. Kyle Hamilton was responding to a call on Windham Road 7, north of Delhi, earlier this month when he failed to stop at a dead end.

His cruiser then left the roadway, hit a tree and came to rest against a dirt berm, receiving what OPP termed “extensive damage.”

Hamilton, who has been with the OPP for less than one year, was not hurt.
